Telit Cinterion, a leader in end-to-end IoT solutions, receives the AT&T network approval for its ME310M1-W1 module. This certification marks a significant step forward, enabling IoT developers and enterprises to leverage the low-power ME310M1-W1 on AT&T’s LTE-M network. This ensures reliable performance even as AT&T transitions to 5G Massive IoT.
The ME310M1-W1 module, compact at just 15x18 mm, is the first cellular Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) module featuring Sony Semiconductor Israel's ALT1350 chipset to receive AT&T’s certification. The ALT1350 chipset is notable for supporting both unlicensed spectrum and satellite connectivity within a single package, facilitating faster development, reduced power consumption, and more compact designs. This module is ideal for a range of IoT applications such as smart utility meters, asset tracking, industrial sensors, and precision agriculture.
Key Features:
- Low Power Consumption: Extends battery life, reducing the need for frequent replacements and allowing for smaller device designs.
- Flexible SIM Technology: Includes an embedded SIM (eSIM) and is hardware-ready for integrated SIM (iSIM), enhancing manufacturing efficiency and security.
- Short Range Radio Support: Enables easy integration with mesh networks and multiple air interface technologies.
- Multi-Location Technology Support: Incorporates Wi-Fi scan and GNSS for versatile indoor and outdoor positioning, useful in tracking high-value assets.
- 3GPP Release 15/16/17 Roadmap Compliance: Ensures future-proof flexibility, including fallback to satellite technology when necessary.
- Value-Added Services: Lowers total cost of ownership and simplifies design and operation over the product lifecycle.
The ME310M1-W1 supports all major LTE-M bands, making it suitable for global deployments. As part of the xE310 family, it offers pin-to-pin compatibility with other Telit Cinterion modules, allowing integrators to design a single PCB layout for multiple product variants.
