Reticulate Micro Inc. has announced that it has concluded a week-long demonstration showcasing its cutting-edge VAST™ video compression and streaming technology and advanced communication capabilities to senior defense officials from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Department of National Defense (DND) and other federal homeland defense agencies.
The demonstrations were strategically designed to enhance the resilience of the communications infrastructure for the Philippines, the U.S.'s oldest treaty ally in Asia. The PCG stated that it is seeking to modernize its command-and-control network to effectively counteract escalating threats from Chinese forces in the South China Sea, thereby improving response times and operational coordination for both maritime and land-based defense and border security applications.
“The demonstrations were successful, with our systems working even in the middle of a typhoon. The customer was impressed. We built a lot of trust with the PCG and DND,” said Joshua Cryer, president and chief executive officer of Reticulate Micro.
The company’s demonstrations highlighted an integrated ecosystem designed to fast-track the modernization of the Philippines' communications infrastructure.
