Microwave Vision Group (MVG), a company that provides systems, services and solutions that allow for the visualization of electromagnetic waves for the characterization of antennas as well as EMC testing, has developed the EH1840, a dual-ridge horn antenna that operates from 18 to 40 GHz. This antenna is based on a unique design that prevents excitation of unwanted high-order modes in the aperture and provides a well-defined smooth radiation pattern with single linear polarization throughout the operational bandwidth.
The EH1840 is precision-machined to provide a balanced gain from 13 to 19 dBi with frequency across the frequency band. It has an E-plane half-power beamwidth of up to 42 degrees and an H-plane half-power beamwidth of less than 41 degrees. This horn antenna has a robust and stiff mechanical design and is available in an Aluminum housing that measures 2.5 x 2 x 8.6 cm with 2.92 mm (female) coaxial connectors.
This horn antenna has undergone radiated emissions testing according to FCC, MIL-STD-461 and SAE ARP 958, and is ideal for EMC testing applications.
