LadyBug Introduces True-RMS Power Sensor with HiSLIP LAN Interface from 1 MHz to 26.5 GHz

LadyBug Technologies has introduced LB5926A-LAN, a true-RMS power sensor that provides high accuracy power level measurements from 1 MHz to 26.5 GHz for general-purpose applications. The sensor utilizes a highly accurate, thermally stabilized, two path, RMS responding, square law diode detection scheme. The sensor makes accurate measurements on any signal regardless of its modulation bandwidth. It has a dynamic range from -45 dBm to +26 dBm (calibrated) and can handle a peak pulsed power of 2 W (~33 dBm).

The LB5926A-LAN uses a patented thermally-stable technology, which means that measurements do not drift and user zeroing & calibration before use are eliminated. Measurement interruption due to automatic calibration is also eliminated, thereby bolstering the performance and reliability of ATE systems. Unlike competitive sensors, it is never necessary to disconnect the source to perform zeroing of the sensor.

The sensor also includes a comprehensive feature of triggering capabilities such as level controlled internal triggering, external triggering, delays, hold off and more. Standard SCPI commands are utilized by this sensor for appropriate control operations, and offers compatibility with competitive VISA IO libraries. The LB5926A-LAN has an integrated HiSLIP LAN interface through which the built in web power meter application can be accessed. This browser-based application includes measurement capabilities as well as an interactive I/O that allows users to send programmatic SCPI commands and queries.

With a rich set of capabilities and high accuracy, this power sensor is suitable for power measurements in applications including manufacturing and testing, aerospace and defense, and space.
