Aaronia AG’s Showcases its Real-Time Spectrum Analysis Solutions at electronica 2024

At electronica 2024, held from November 12 to 15, 2025, Aaronia AG showcased its latest innovations in real-time spectrum analysis and drone detection. The event drew over 3,480 exhibitors and more than 80,000 visitors, offering a prime platform for Aaronia to highlight its advancements.

A focal point of the presentation was Aaronia's new proprietary PC boards, designed to power the next generation of real-time spectrum analyzers. The SPECTRAN® V6 MOBILE is the first device to incorporate these advanced boards, featuring either the Intel® Ultra 985H or AMD® Ryzen 7949 HF processors. These new boards offer comprehensive connectivity options, supporting simultaneous use of four SPECTRAN® V6 ECO analyzers through four USB PD ports. They also include a 10 GB Ethernet port, a SIM slot, and multiple M.2 ports, enhancing versatility and performance.

The SPECTRAN® V6 MOBILE from Aaronia is the world's first portable real-time spectrum analyzer with an RTBW of 490 MHz

Aaronia's SPECTRAN® V6 MOBILE stands out as the world’s first portable real-time spectrum analyzer with a real-time bandwidth (RTBW) of 490 MHz. This enables full recording of 320 MHz wide channels, such as those defined by the IEEE 802.11ax standard. The analyzer covers a frequency range from 9 kHz to 140 GHz and achieves a sweep speed of 3 THz/s, making it suitable for a broad range of applications. The device's 15-inch display, with a brightness of up to 1,500 NIT, ensures excellent visibility even in outdoor daylight conditions. Sealing caps protect all ports, safeguarding against water and dirt ingress.

Reflecting on the successful showcase, Thorsten Chmielus, CEO of Aaronia AG, commented: “It has been proven once again that pursuing our own path yields results. Existing PC systems often lack sufficient interfaces and processing speed to meet the growing demands of modern measurement technology. By developing our own PC boards, we addressed these limitations. The SPECTRAN® V6 MOBILE was very well received at electronica, and more solutions based on this innovation will soon follow.”

Aaronia also introduced the new SPECTRAN® V6 PLUS XPR series, incorporating state-of-the-art waveguide technology. These devices are designed to handle the challenges posed by millimeter waves used in applications like satellite communication, radar, and wireless networks. Chmielus explained the importance of waveguides, noting that conventional cables can distort signals and cause significant losses. In contrast, waveguides ensure high-frequency signals are transported efficiently, preserving signal integrity for accurate analysis. The SPECTRAN® V6 PLUS XPR 250XB-WR12, for instance, achieves a noise figure of 10 dB at 77 GHz, making it ideal for automotive radar measurements (76 GHz to 81 GHz).

The modularity of the new real-time spectrum analyzers allows for future integration of Aaronia’s amplifier and splitter systems, enabling customizable solutions. “Modularity and future-proofing are central to our product development strategy,” Chmielus emphasized. “This approach ensures we can meet the diverse and evolving needs of our customers.”

Aaronia AG’s innovative solutions at electronica 2024 demonstrated their commitment to advancing spectrum analysis technology, solidifying their reputation as industry leaders in the Test & Measurement sector.
