AARONIA AG Presents Advanced Signal Intelligence & EW Solutions at GPEC 2025

Aaronia AG, a specialist in measurement, tracking, and monitoring technologies, continues to drive innovation in real-time solutions aimed at protecting the radio spectrum and safeguarding critical infrastructure. At GPEC Digital 2025, held in Leipzig in April, the company demonstrated how reliable information on frequency usage and availability, as well as the location of any interferers, can be determined. The presentation was demonstrated to an audience of decision-makers, procurement officials, technicians, and solution providers from the fields of homeland security, law enforcement, and public safety.

Spectrum management and situational awareness in conjunction with direction-finding were the focus of interest for trade visitors at GPEC Digital 2025. “Especially for the police, BKA, LKA, the military and the public sector or institutions, it is crucial to know what is going on in the frequency bands, where signals are coming from and whether measures need to be taken,” explains Peter May, Head of Measurement Technology at Aaronia AG. “The measuring equipment used must therefore be able to reliably detect extremely short signals as well as camouflaged or frequency hopping signals.”

The MOBILE-DF solution on show at GPEC digital is predestined for such applications. This is a portable signal location solution in tablet format. The integrated real-time spectrum analyzer can be used without restriction between 9 kHz and 7.25 MHz and, therefore, covers the most commonly used frequency range. Combined with the directional direction-finding antenna of the HyperLOG series and a special software function, any emitter can be located by repeated direction-finding and marking the location and direction of the direction-finding signal. Thanks to the integrated sound generator, manual triangulation can be carried out conveniently by one person using headphones.

The strengths of the new SPECTRUM COMMAND from Aaronia AG include direction-finding, decoding, recording, and analyzing complex signals anywhere and everywhere. The system covers a wide frequency range from 400 MHz to 40 GHz with a real-time bandwidth of up to 1,960 MHz.

Another major advantage of all Aaronia AG solutions is the ability to configure them flexibly according to the respective requirements. “Within our solutions, we can flexibly adapt both the hardware and the software to the customer's needs. This ensures that the person responsible always receives the information they need for their task,” says Peter May, Head of Measurement Technology at Aaronia AG.
