Nuvotronics Introduces 4-Channel Compact, High-Performance Multiplexer from DC to 40 GHz

Nuvotronics, a provider of high-performance mmWave & RF devices for high frequency applications, has introduced the PSM0640B4S, a surface mountable 4-channel multiplexer (Quadplexer) designed to operate from DC to 40 GHz. Measuring only 14.7 x 24.7 mm, this advanced component features four distinct passbands—DC to 6 GHz, 6 to 10 GHz, 10 to 18 GHz, and 18 to 40 GHz—enabling seamless integration into a variety of RF systems.

Engineered with Nuvotronics’ proprietary PolyStrata® micro-miniature coax technology, the PSM0640B4S offers low insertion loss of less than 1.3 dB, provides an out-of-band rejection of more than 55 dB, and high isolation between channels, ensuring optimal signal integrity. Its compact surface-mount form factor facilitates ease of integration into space-constrained applications, making it suitable for use in satellite communications, electronic warfare, and broadband test systems.

Key Features

  • Compact and Lightweight: Weighing only 1.8 grams, the design is ideal for space-constrained applications.
  • Exceptional Performance: Offers low insertion loss and high out-of-band rejection for superior signal quality.
  • High Precision: Ensures minimal variation between parts for consistent performance across builds.
  • Simplified Integration: Compatible with standard surface-mount technology (SMT) processes for easy assembly.

The PSM0640B4S multiplexer is designed for a variety of applications, including satellite communications, defense and electronic warfare systems, test and measurement equipment, and telecommunications infrastructure. Its compact size and precision make it suitable for integration into these high-performance environments, offering reliable and efficient functionality across each of these sectors.

The multiplexer’s robust construction and wide frequency coverage provide designers with a versatile solution for complex RF architectures, supporting the development of next-generation communication systems.
