Sercomm Corporation, a global leader in embedded connectivity and integrated networking solutions, has launched the TPM530M—a high-performance, multi-band, dual-mode LTE-M/NB-IoT module integrating Nordic Semiconductors nRF9120 cellular System-on-Chip (SoC), power management IC (PMIC), and RF front-end components into a compact 14.55 x 14.51 x 1.85 mm package. Designed to ensure robust cellular IoT wireless connectivity in space-constrained environments, the pre-certified TPM530M offers a fully integrated solution ideal for a wide range of applications, including smart metering, bike sharing, wearables, smart city infrastructure, security systems, asset tracking, and environmental monitoring.
Feature-rich cellular module
Powered by Nordic technology, the TPM530M provides developers with an open, high-performance 64 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M33 application processor, supported by 1 MB of non-volatile memory and 256 KB of RAM. It includes a comprehensive set of peripherals such as multiple SPI, UART, I2C, PWM, and ADC interfaces, as well as 32 GPIOs. The module features integrated GPS and supports an extended 3GPP-compliant operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
The TPM530M supports both PSM (Power Saving Mode) and eDRX (extended Discontinuous Reception) to optimize energy efficiency. In deep PSM, the module draws as little as 2.7 µA with full memory retention. With an eDRX interval of 655 seconds, average current consumption is just 6 µA for LTE-M and 9 µA for NB-IoT, making the module ideally suited for battery-powered applications that demand long operational lifetimes between charges or replacements.
