pinkRF has introduced the MPG10kS, a high-power, programmable solid-state RF energy generator designed for industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) applications operating in the 2.45 GHz band. The generator provides up to 10 kW of continuous-wave RF output power, offering a turnkey solution for high-demand applications including plasma processing, dielectric heating, and industrial heating and drying.

This RF energy generator is based on solid-state device technology, with improved reliability, reproducibility, and operational lifetime compared to traditional magnetron-based systems. Operating across 2.4 to 2.5 GHz, the generator provides fine-grained control over key RF parameters, including frequency, phase, and output power, with output levels adjustable from 30 to 70 dBm and an efficiency of approximately 60% at rated power.

Designed for both standalone and multi-channel configurations, the system supports coherent and incoherent multi-generator operation. It integrates closed-loop (autogain) and open-loop (feedforward) power control modes for stable RF delivery across known and unknown load conditions. Its built-in reflected power tracking and protection functions help optimize power transfer while safeguarding the system against thermal and RF overstress.

This programmable generator features a compact RF power head enclosed in a robust metal housing, paired with a separate 19-inch rack-mountable power supply. RF output is delivered via a standard WR340 waveguide interface. Comprehensive software and communication interfaces - including Ethernet, USB, serial control, and digital I/O- support integration into PLC-controlled industrial systems and complex RF energy installations.

The MPG10kS is targeted for applications such as plasma deposition and etching, dielectric heating, solid-state industrial ovens, and other high-power RF energy processes that demand precise control, scalability, and long-term reliability. With embedded firmware, calibrated RF measurements, and configurable protection algorithms, it further strengthens pinkRF’s portfolio of solid-state RF generators for advanced industrial energy applications.
