Amphenol RF, a manufacturer of RF interconnect products including connectors, cable assemblies and adapters for wireless communication systems, has introduced new MMCX straight and right-angle plug cable assembly configurations designed on flexible RG-316 cable as part of its pre-configured cable assembly portfolio. The assemblies are available in IP67-rated bulkhead SMA, TNC, RP-TNC and N-Type straight jack interfaces for applications where environmental sealing is required. RG-316 cable supports electrical performance up to 6 GHz and provides shielding and temperature resistance.
The cable assemblies are designed to transition from an internal MMCX PCB connection to a threaded external interface to enable panel-mount connectivity for wireless communication modules. The assemblies combine the small footprint of the MMCX interface with sealed external connectors.
Applications include GPS, Wi-Fi, portable electronics and vehicle-based systems used in agriculture, construction, mining and other industrial environments. The assemblies are available through authorized distribution partners in standard lengths from three to 48 inches.
