Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc. has introduced the NT1199HEAE4S, a wideband low noise amplifier (LNA) for multi-band global navigation satellite system (GNSS) featuring high linearity. The use of GNSS is expanding across a wide range of fields, including automotive, industrial, and consumer equipment. In recent years, demand for high-precision positioning has continued to increase. As a result, LNAs used in GNSS receiver circuits are required to support multi-band operation while maintaining high linearity.
This product is a wideband LNA supporting multi-band GNSS and featuring high linearity, developed to meet the growing demand for high-precision GNSS positioning in automotive, industrial, and consumer applications. It achieves high linearity across the entire GNSS band (1164 MHz to 1610 MHz), enabling stable reception even in environments with strong interference signals such as 5G/LTE, Wi-Fi, BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), and satellite communications, thereby delivering high-precision positioning.
Key Specifications:
- Frequency range: 1164 MHz to 1610 MHz
- Current consumption: 12 mA typ. @ VDD = 3.3 V
- High P-1dB (IN): +1.5 dBm typ. @ L1 band | 0 dBm typ. @ L2/L5/L6 band
- High gain: 17.5 dB typ. @ L1 band | 18.0 dB typ. @ L2/L5/L6 band
- Low NF: 0.65 dB typ. @ L1/L2/L5/L6 band
Key Features:
1. High Linearity Performance: This product achieves high linearity with an input P-1dB of 0 dBm, providing excellent tolerance to strong input signals and interfering signals superimposed on the GNSS band. As a result, it enables stable reception of GNSS signals even in environments with strong interference. It is an ideal LNA for GNSS equipment integrating multiple communication functions, such as GNSS antennas, tracking devices, and communication modules.

2. High Performance across a Wide Bandwidth: This product covers the entire GNSS band using a common external circuit, achieving an industry-leading low noise figure (NF) of 0.65 dB, a flat, high gain of approximately 18 dB, and high linearity with a low operating current of 12 mA.
These features significantly improve GNSS receiver sensitivity and positioning accuracy in multi-band GNSS equipment. The NT1199HEAE4S wideband LNA can be used in multi-band GNSS receiver systems, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou platforms. It is well suited for active antennas and combination antenna designs, as well as tracking devices and integrated GNSS modules that require high linearity, low noise performance, and reliable multi-constellation signal reception.
