JFW Industries has announced the launch of a new high-performance programmable attenuator designed to meet the demands of modern RF and microwave test applications. The new solution offers attenuation of up to 127 dB across a wide frequency range of 200 to 6000 MHz, with precise 1 dB step resolution.
The standalone model, the 50P-2170 SMA, is a TTL-controlled programmable attenuator that provides 0 to 127 dB of attenuation in 1 dB increments. It supports operation from 200 to 6000 MHz, handles input power levels up to +27 dBm, and has 50-ohm SMA connectors. Attenuation control is achieved through seven parallel TTL lines, each corresponding to a specific attenuation step.
For more complex system requirements, JFW Industries is offering the 50PA-1321-XX SMA, an Ethernet-controlled attenuator assembly capable of housing up to eight individual attenuators. These attenuators can be controlled independently or grouped together, providing a flexible system configuration. The assembly is housed in a 2RU rack-mount enclosure and is available with either SMA or N connectors. Like the single-unit model, it offers 0 to 127 dB attenuation in 1 dB steps, operates over 200 to 6000 MHz, and supports a maximum input power of +27 dBm.
With this new programmable attenuator platform, JFW Industries aims to deliver greater precision, scalability, and control for RF testing, system calibration, and signal conditioning applications.
