Amphenol RF, a manufacturer of coaxial connectors for use in radio frequency, microwave, and data transmission system application, has expanded its precision adapter portfolio with an additional 2.4 mm adapter designed for laboratory and production test environments. This straight jack-to-jack adapter is designed for impedance control and mechanical durability. The 50-ohm adapter supports measurements across RF applications and is intended for use in instrumentation layouts within 5G, aerospace and test equipment.
The 2.4 mm adapter is machined with passivated stainless-steel bodies and gold-plated beryllium copper contacts. The materials are selected to provide corrosion resistance, mechanical stability and repeated connect and disconnect in production environments.
The 2.4 mm adapter interface supports high frequency broadband performance up to 40 GHz for transmission of microwave and millimeter-wave signals across test and measurement systems. The adapter is available as an off-the-shelf mmWave product.
