Quectel Wireless Solutions, an end-to-end IoT solutions provider, has announced the FCE870Q Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 module designed for applications requiring high data rates and low latency. The module supports a peak data rate of 5.8 Gbps and is intended for use cases including over-the-top (OTT) services, high-definition video, and augmented and virtual reality.
The FCE870Q features 4K 4096 quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), a modulation technique in Wi-Fi 7 that increases data throughput by 20% compared to Wi-Fi 6. The module also supports 320 MHz enhanced multi-link single radio (eMSLR) technology, which enables faster data transmission and lower latency. The module integrates Bluetooth® 6.0 with built-in Channel Sounding, enabling enhanced ranging accuracy and proximity-based applications.
“We’re delighted to launch the versatile, high data throughput, low latency FC870Q module that is ideal for use cases that rely on high-definition video,” said Delbert Sun, Product Head, Quectel Wireless Solutions. “It’s great to be able to bring this powerful module that combines Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 6.0 and a raft of features to ensure reliable network connectivity for latency-sensitive use cases.”
The FCE870Q includes 2×2 MIMO technology and operates across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz Wi-Fi frequency bands. It also supports dual-mode Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) audio, with compatibility for 2 Mbps BLE and BLE Long Range communications. The module features high accuracy distance measurement (HADM) for location tracking. It measures 15.0 mm × 13.0 mm × 1.8 mm, includes a pin antenna interface, and operates within a temperature range of −30 °C to +85 °C.
The FCE870Q can be paired with compatible antenna solutions such as the YECN009AA and YEBT002W1AM to support RF performance and integration across application environments.
