KRYTAR, a leader in the design and production of ultra-broadband microwave components and test equipment, has introduced two new 180-Degree ULTRA+ Hybrid Couplers that deliver 3 dB of coupling over the ultra-wideband frequency range of 10.0 to 40.0 GHz. KRYTAR’s new line of high-performance ULTRA+ 180 Degree Hybrid Couplers offer the tightest specifications in the industry.
KRYTAR ULTRA+ Hybrid Couplers are uniquely designed for systems applications to perform many functions, including splitting and combining signals in amplifiers, switching circuits, and antenna beam-forming networks used in a wide range of commercial and military applications where power or frequency needs to be monitored, leveled, alarmed or controlled.
The Model ULTRA4100400 comes with industry-standard 2.4mm Female Connectors and Model ULTRA4100400K comes with 2.92mm (K) Female Connectors. Both hybrid couplers deliver exceptional versatility from 10.0 to 40.0 GHz (X- thru KA-Bands) with excellent phase and amplitude matching. Typical specifications include 3 dB Coupling; Amplitude Imbalance: ±0.9 dB; Phase Imbalance is ±8 degrees; Isolation is >15 dB; Maximum VSWR: 1.65; and Insertion Loss of <1.5 dB. In addition the couplers offer Input Power Ratings of 20 W average and 3 kW peak. Each of these compact packages measures just 1.10 inches (L) x 0.86 inches (W) x 0.50 inches (H), and weighs only 1.2 ounces. Operating temperature is -54° to 85° C. These couplers are typically available from stock to 30 days, ARO.
The KRYTAR Family of 180 Degree ULTRA+ Hybrid Couplers are four-port components with dual input and output ports operating from 0.5 GHz to 40 GHz. KRYTAR ULTRA+ hybrid couplers offer wideband frequency coverage in single, compact packages, providing low insertion loss, high directivity and tight coupling. These hybrid couplers offer excellent solutions for many ultra-broadband applications including electronic warfare (EW), mmWave, 5G NR (New Radio), 6G, Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E, SATCOM, radar, Multiple-Input and Multiple-Output (MIMO) radio links, signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beamforming, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing environments. These ultra-wideband couplers can also be manufactured to meet rigid military specifications.
