The PE45140 is a power limiter used in high performance limiting applications like tactical and military communications receivers, land mobile radio and a number of other applications between 20 MHz and 2 GHz. The limiter can handle up to 40 dBm (10 Watts) of CW power and 47 dBm (50 Watts) of pulsed power. Unlike traditional PIN diode solutions, this limiter has an adjustable power limiting threshold that eliminates the need for external components like DC blocking capacitors, RF choke inductors and bias resistors. The PE45450 is available in a compact 12 lead 3 x 3 mm QFN package.
