The HumRC from Linx Technologies is a wideband transceiver with microcontroller that is available in a 900 MHz version and 2.4 GHz versions. It includes a Frequency Hopping Spread spectrum (FHSS) protocol. The 900 MHz versions have an output power of up to 10 dBm, resulting in a line-of-sight range of up to 1,600 m (1.0 miles) and the 2.4 GHz versions have output power up to 1 dBm, with a 100 m (300 feet) line of sight range. The transceivers operate at 2 volts with a transmit current from 28 to 37mA, receive current of 25mA and standby current under 1uA. They can used in reliable bi-directional remote control and sensor applications.
