The RVG1490L from Rakon is a VCXO that operates from 1 to 2.2 GHz with very low RMS phase jitter. It can generate output waveforms that are Sinewaves, Differential Sinewaves or LVPECL. This VCXO has excellent tuning control with a tuning voltage from 0 to 3.3 V. It is available in a surface mount package that measures 14 x 9 mm and is ideal for Optical Coherent Networking, and high speed ADC/DAC/SERDES clocking.
The RVG1490L is a great fit for radio applications. 5G, and other wireless transport applications are moving towards millimeter-wave frequencies. With low close-in phase noise capabilities, RVG1490L is able to provide clean, high frequency references with minimal contribution to EVM (Error Vector Magnitude) at high QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) rates for improved data throughput.
