Falcomm, a fabless semiconductor technology startup founded in 2021 out of Georgia Tech has used its recently raised $4 Million to set up its HQ in Atlanta, Georgia. Falcomm has reinvented the power amplifier with their patented ultra-efficient Dual-Drive™ technology. Their silicon-proven Dual-Drive™ power amplifier demonstrates world record energy efficiency and enhanced linearity that supports Gb/s modulated signals with high spectral efficiency for the wireless communication market using half the silicon area of commercially available Doherty amplifiers.
Falcomm provides microchip technology for the wireless communication markets. Led by Edgar Garay, the company raised $4 million last year in a funding round led by early-stage cyber and national security venture capital firm Squadra Ventures. In a TechCrunch article from 2023, Garay said the firm plans on using some of this funding proceeds to hire talent.
The advantage for Falcomm in establishing its footprint in Midtown’s 1375 Peachtree is that the space can accommodate Falcomm’s equipment and machinery, and the landlord could accommodate flexibility in its lease structure. They have signed a lease for 3,120 square feet of space. The buildout will begin this summer, according to an announcement from Falcomm. This is the company’s first office space outside of a coworking suite.
“As a growing startup, our team is infused with passion and energy, so we looked for an office that reflects that same excitement and vibrancy,” said Garay in a written statement.
