Kratos Defense & Security Solutions has received approximately $25 Million in new contracts for Electronic Warfare Equipment, Communication Systems, and Unmanned Aerial Drones. Kratos is a leading provider of specialized microwave electronic products in support of missile, radar, missile defense, unmanned aerial drone, electronic warfare, communications and other systems.
A $10 million contract was awarded to them for Air Borne Electronic Warfare and Communications Systems. Work under this recent contract will be performed at a secure Kratos production facility. They also received a $15.2 million order for High Performance Unmanned Aerial Drone, Unmanned Ground and related Unmanned System products and services. The work for both these contracts will be performed at the Kratos facilities and at customer locations. No additional information about these contracts can be provided due to customer considerations.
According to Steve Fendley, President of Kratos Unmanned Systems Division, the Global Recapitalization of strategic weapon systems by the U.S. and its allies to address peer and near peer threats is driving strong demand for Kratos’ threat representative target drone systems. These recent contract awards reflect the customers’ desire to exercise their Next Generation weapon systems against the most realistic threat representative scenarios possible.
Kratos also announced the completion of multiple series of approximately twenty flights, including many intercept flights, for new and long term national security related customers, utilizing numerous Kratos high performance, jet powered unmanned aerial target drone systems. The success of these recent multi-day exercises are expected to lead to potential significant future deliveries of Kratos high performance target drones for a new customer set, and additional deliveries to established customers. These recent exercises were performed at various secure undisclosed locations.
