The NW-PA-S-5-Q01 from NuWaves is a Solid State Power Amplifier that operates from 2200 to 2500 MHz. This S-band amplifier delivers an output power of over 5 watts with a small signal gain of 27 dB. Based on the latest gallium nitride (GaN) technology, this amplifier offers 17 discrete, user-programmable, output options in 1 dB steps from the maximum RF output power level. It operates over a DC supply voltage from 22 to 32 V and consumes 1 amp of current.  The device is available in a module that measures 2.125 x 5 x 0.8 inches with SMA (F) connectors and can be remotely controlled via RS-232 interface. This amplifier is ideal for use in Unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), unmanned Group Vehicles (UGV), broadband RF telemetry, RF communication systems, software-defined radios, and test lab applications.111
