The RFSA3523 from Qorvo is a 5-bit digital step attenuator (DSA) that operates from 0.005 to 6 GHz. It has an attenuation range of 15.5 dB with 0.5 dB steps and a fast switching speed of 120 nsec. The attenuator has an insertion loss of over 1.4 dB and can handle an input IP3 of 55 dBm. It is available in a 16-pin, 3 x 3 x 0.85 mm QFN package and is ideal for 2G through 4G base stations, test equipment and WiMax/WiFi applications.
