The SG30000L from DS Instruments is an RF Signal Generator with a frequency range from 14 to 30 GHz. It provides an output power from -18 dBm to +13 dBm and has harmonics of less than -20 dBc. This signal generator has an amplitude resolution of 0.5 dB (calibrated digital steps) and 0.1 dB (sub-step vernier – uncalibrated) and a frequency step size of 2 Hz. It consists of an ultra-low noise 100 MHz VCXO that has been locked to an internal TCXO or external 10 MHz reference along with a precise internal high-frequency reference source with a frequency stability of ±280 ppb (at 10 MHz). This generator offers high output power over a wide bandwidth in an ultra-compact size, making it an excellent 30 GHz alternative on the market. It is completely powered by a USB type-C interface and does not require separate DC adapters for power.
The SG30000L can be interfaced and programmed via USB or wireless network using Windows control software and uses SCPI commands to trigger specific operations.
