Norden Millimeter Introduces New Block Up/Down Converters and Transceivers at IMS 2020

At their virtual booth, Norden Millimeter featured Block Up and Down Converters, and Transceivers. MMIC technology is used extensively throughout its product base. 10 dB Block Down Converter from 2 to 18 GHz

The NDC0218I0102N10 is a Block Down Converter that down-converts an input frequency (RF) from 2-18 GHz to an output frequency from 1.375-2.375 GHz (IF). 

  • It delivers a P1dB of up to 11 dBm with a conversion gain of over 10 dB and has a noise figure of 10 dB. 
  • The device can provide 56 dB of variable attenuation and has a channel bandwidth flatness of +/- 2 dB. 
  • It requires a DC supply voltage of 25 to 31 V and consumes up to 0.6 A of current. 
  • This down converter is available in a module with connectors and is ideal for commercial, military, and test applications.

12 dB Block Down Converter With Or Without Bypass from 18-­40 GHz

The NDC1840I0217N14B is a Block Down Converter that down-converts an input frequency (RF) from 18-40 GHz to an output frequency from 2.3-10.8/3.2-16.7 GHz (IF) with a bypass frequency of 0.5-18 GHz.

  • It delivers a P1dB of up to 20 dBm with a conversion gain of over 12 dB and has a noise figure of 14.5 dB. 
  • The device requires a supply of 8-12 VDC and draws 1400 mA of current.

The NUDC2­18_1.3­2.3 is an RF transceiver that operates from 2 to 18 GHz.

  • In the Tx mode, it provides a P1 dB of 10 dBm with a linear gain of 50 dB and has a noise figure of 17 dB.
  • In the Rx mode, it provides a P1 dB of 10 dBm with a linear gain of 40 dB and has a noise figure of 6 dB.
