PCTEL has announced that its SeeWave® interference locating system now supports TD-LTE networks. SeeWave users can now hunt interference on any major cellular network in the world. SeeWave is a cost-effective solution for detecting external interference problems. With the latest version of SeeWave, TD-LTE operators in China, North America, and throughout the world can clear spectrum, locate interference sources, and improve data throughput on their networks.
TD-LTE networks use the same spectrum for both downlink and uplink traffic. SeeWave solves this challenge by dividing the two into separate, yet simultaneous scans. This allows users to hunt for external interferers on the uplink and internal interferers on the downlink at the same time. SeeWave users will be able to upload their data to SeeHawk™ Analytics for storage and analysis. In the future, SeeHawk Analytics will aid remote interference monitoring using the SeeWave system.
SeeWave’s latest software release is available to upgrade all existing units. To use the new feature, customers will need a complete SeeWave system, including a SeeGull® scanning receiver configured for TD-LTE. Customers with a flex scanner can add TD-LTE or other technologies and bands to their scanning receivers via remote software.
