Latest NI AWR Software to be showcased at IMS2016

NI IMS 2016

The latest version of the NI AWR Design Environment will be showcased in a slate of activities at the International Microwave Symposium (IMS) 2016, taking place in San Francisco from May 22 to 27, 2016. A number of NI AWR software demonstrations on load-pull and radar systems, as well as antenna design and third-party integration flows will be on display in Booth #1529. AntSyn, a new, cloud-based software as a service (SaaS) antenna synthesis and optimization solution that enables designers to input their antenna engineering requirements and produce antenna designs as outputs, will also be showcased.

Other activities will include six MicroApps presentations, sponsorship for the Bits-to-Waves Practical Workshop hosted by North Carolina State University (NCSU) Professor David Ricketts and sponsorship for the ‘The IMS Student Design Competition’ for high-efficiency power amplifiers (PAs). NI will also be hosting the 12th annual customer appreciation party on Wednesday evening at Lucky Strike.

Presentations to be given at IMS 2016

  •  Advanced Streamlining Methods for Power Amplifier Design
  •  Phased-Array Antenna Simulation for 5G
  •  A Unified Design Flow Harnessing Multiple Simulation Technologies for Multi-Chip Modules
  •  System-Level Modeling for Large Phased Arrays
  •  Integration and Parameterization of EM Simulation Within Circuit Design
  •  Narrow-Band, High-Q Cavity Combline Filter Design Using Equal Ripple Optimization

Workshop to be Conducted at IMS 2016

From Bits to Waves: Building a Modern Digital Radio in One Day - In this fun and interactive workshop that features the use of NI AWR software, participants will learn the basic theory of modern digital radios, as well as the RF circuits and systems used to build them.

  • Participants need only a basic background in RF circuits, such as S-parameters and basic transmission line theory
  • Example designs will be available to ensure that everyone, from the most advanced RF designer to the student, will be successful.
  • Bring only your laptop. All other materials and equipment (PC in a bag) will be provided.
