The Small-Signal Frequency Response of Ferrites
High Frequency Electronics, Defence Equipment & Support, Ministry of Defence (UK)
This article is an analysis of the mechanisms and behavior of magnetically soft ferrites that are commonly used for inductors, transformers and EMC filters. The starting point is taken as the movement of domain walls through the ferrite. This leads to some of the mathematical relationships from which practical conclusions emerge. The result is a story that deviates from the standard explanations given in the textbooks.
