Unlicensed trans-mitters typically used for remote keyless entry (RKE), home automation, home security, and other radio-controlled devices have specified limits on radiat-ed power level, set by the FCC in the US and ETSI in Europe. The power limits apply both to the intended and the unintended, or spuri-ous, transmitted energy. Associated with these limits are test procedures for determining whether a device’s radiation is within the established guidelines.
