Multipath Propagation in V/U/SHF Direction Finding Systems
A radio signal can reach the receiver on different signal paths besides the direct path. This is caused by reflection, refraction, scattering and diffraction from objects that have a significant size in relation to the wavelength and hence the frequency range under consideration. These effects are summarized under the term multipath propagation.
This whitepaper showcases a comparison of 7-channel and 5-channel direction finding systems with correlative interferometer and vector matching.
