Design Notes for Laminates and Other Substrate Materials
High Frequency Electronics
The final realization of a circuit design is its construction on a substrate of some sort. The most common substrate for high frequency circuits is a printed circuit board, which may range from a low cost fiberglass laminate such as FR-4 to an advanced low dielectric constant glass reinforced PTFE or ceramic/hydrocarbon laminates intended specifically for microwave circuits.
