The Norwegian Communications Authority (Nkom) held the 5G spectrum auction in May 2020.

Nkom conducted its first 5G Spectrum auction of the 700 MHz frequency band in 2019. Telia, Telenor and Ice won spectrum in this auction. Then in May 2020, the 28 GHz (n257) and the 38 GHz (n260) were auctioned.

Further, Nkom has plans to allocate the 3.6 GHz band (n78) which is a primary band for 5G, and the 2.6 GHz band (n41) which is currently used for 4G. They plan to auction these bands sometime in 2021.
