KMIC Technology, Inc. develops amplifiers for the RF, Microwave, and Millimeter Wave markets. The ampliciers are used for terrestrial wireless communication, in military systems and for instrumentation. KMIC Technology, Inc. was originally founded in 1979 as the Microwave Components Group (MCG) of Aydin Corporation (West) located in South San Jose, California. Communications and Power Industries, Inc.(CPI) purchased Aydin Corporation MCG in October of 1998. On September 27, 2002, Mr. David Kim, President of CPI SSPD for the past year, purchased the business now known as KMIC Technology, Inc. currently situated in the heart of Silicon Valley.
