Exelis has successfully delivered nine full rate production, next generation electronic self-protection systems for the F/A-18 fighter aircraft to the U.S.Navy. These self-protection systems consist of a new ALQ-214(V)4/5, which is an onboard jammer subsystem in the Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasures (IDECM) suite. The ALQ-214(V)4/5 follows the ALQ-214(V)3 for which the final production delivery was made to the Navy in mid-2013.
