AR RF Microwave Instrumentation has added two amplifiers to its “U” (Universal) Series. The new models are 150U1000 (150 watts) and 250U1000A (250 watts) operate from 10 kHz -1000 MHz, adding even more options to a series of amplifiers with universal applications. These Class A amplifiers replace the need for multiple amplifiers to cover the same bandwidth and eliminate dual-band operation. They are fully mismatch tolerant. Ideal for EMC testing, medical/physics research, and many other applications. These amplifiers are easily transportable or can be integrated into a rack.
The Model 150U1000 is a solid-state, self-contained, air-cooled, broadband amplifier designed for applications where instantaneous bandwidth, high gain, and linearity are required. The main features of Model 150U1000 are as follows:
- When used with a sweep generator it will provide a minimum of 150 watts of RF power.
- Protected from RF input overdrive by an RF input leveling circuit which controls the RF input level to the RF amplifier first stage when the RF input level is increased above 0 dBm.
- Equipped with a Digital Control Panel (DCP) which provides both local and remote control of the amplifier.
- Remotes Package is a safety interlock circuit for use with external safety switch interlocks. This circuit prevents the amplifier from going into operating mode unless the external connection is made.
