Skyworks High Power Front-end Module for V2V and V2X Automotive Applications

Skyworks Solutions, an innovator of high-performance analog semiconductors connecting people, places and things has introduced a high power front-end module for automotive V2V and V2X applications. The SKYA21043 is an AEC-Q104 (Grade 2) Qualified FEM with Automotive PPAP Support.

The SKYA21043 is a highly-integrated, 5 GHz front-end module incorporating a 5 GHz single-pole, double-throw transmit/receive switch, a 5 GHz high-gain low-noise amplifier with bypass, and a 5 GHz power amplifier intended for high-power 802.11p applications and systems. It meets rugged reliability requirements for automotive applications including vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) covering smart antennas, compensators, and roadside units for automotive infrastructure, backhaul and cellular small cells. The device boasts +29 dBm output power, making it one of the highest power solutions on the market today.
