Microwave Techniques LLC announced the expansion of its Gorham, Maine based manufacturing facility. The 21,360 square feet of production space adds to Microwave Techniques growing operational capabilities. The new addition to the Microwave Techniques campus, located at 29 Sanford Drive, Gorham, Maine, is located directly across the street from the Gorham facility’s operational headquarters at 28 Sanford Drive.
The building has a manufacturing floor and supplemental offices to increase manufacturing capacity and provide more space for their team. The new facility will house the sales, engineering, administration, paint, quality control, final inspection, and shipping departments.
The facility expansion comes on the heels of a 2020 merger between Mega Industries and Ferrite Microwave Technologies. The merger resulted in the creation of the Microwave Techniques group. Previously, Mega Industries expanded the facility at 28 Sanford Drive with an addition to the existing building. The 2013 addition allowed for more production space, an updated shipping & receiving area, a test laboratory, and the addition of an ISO Class 5 Clean to support the design and manufacture of ultra-high vacuum microwave components.
