Noisecom, a Wireless Telecom Group company, and a producer of RF and microwave noise sources has introduced a new series of amplified noise modules. The NC1000 series modules produce White Gaussian noise up to +13 dBm. Injecting Additive White Gaussian Noise (Gaussian Noise) of varying power levels from Noisecom noise generators into the cable network is an effective way to assess the extent of the cable network’s ability to cope with Gaussian Noise interferences of varying intensity. This AWGN Noise Generator operates from 10 Hz to up to 18 GHz.
The high-power modules are designed to test noise immunity for Cable TV equipment, secure communication channels, and military jamming systems. The lower power modules, ≤ 0 dBm, are random jitter sources for many applications including, PCIexpress, Infiniband, and 10 GigE.
The Noisecom NC1000 Series of Amplified additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) generator's bandwidth, output power, and flatness can be modified for specific applications. A newly developed TTL controlled attenuation feature is also available. Each of the NC1000 modules contains a hermetically packaged noise diode that has been pre-selected for special performance characteristics. The standard module is designed for a 50 Ω load impedance.
