Linx Technologies Introduces New Vertical Helical Antennas for 868, 915 MHz LPWA Applications

Linx Technologies, a Merlin, OR based developer and manufacturer of antennas and connectors, has introduced new compact surface mount vertical helical antennas. The 868 MHz and 915 MHz helical antennas were designed for low-power, wide-area (LPWA) applications including LoRaWAN and Sigfox, remote controls, and ISM band applications.

The ANT-868-VHETH and ANT-915-VHETH antennas are made from 0.6 mm diameter nickel plated high-carbon steel for use in PCB-mount installations requiring a rugged, compact, and omnidirectional embedded antenna. The connector-style base of the antenna ensures proper mounting for uniform performance in high-volume manufacturing.

“Many Linx customers love our existing line of traditional horizontal helical coil antennas because of their low cost and good performance,” said Linx CEO, Tolga Latif. “Linx’s new vertical helical antennas improve upon the classic by providing a vertical coil configuration with better omnidirectionality and requiring even less space. The use of a standard 4-pin connector-style base for the antenna also makes it easier to achieve consistent PCB mounting during manufacturing.”

The vertical helical antennas are available via Linx Technologies’ distributor and manufacturer representative networks.
