RF Spin has developed the USX, a universal box with pre-drilled holes for SMA or 2.92 connectors for circuits with microstrip or coplanar wiring. The Universal box is an aluminum case for Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). It has been developed for laboratories and universities that need to test prototype PCBs. PCBs can be mounted in the box and then removed and replaced with other circuits, allowing the box to be used multiple times. Equipped with all the accessories, it allows fast clamping of any active and passive RF circuits of various thicknesses from 0.2 to 1.2 mm. The cap provides shielding and allows the bonding of additional attenuation materials to suppress waveguide vision. Assembly is very easy and quick and allows reuse with other substrates.
Thanks to the precision ground blocks, a perfect ground plane transition is ensured and the connector's center conductor does not need to be soldered.
The box is available in two sizes:
- USX-4 allows up to four connectors with PCB size 25 x 35 mm
- USX-6 allows up to six connectors with PCB size 25 x 45 mm
