Farran offers a range of passive multipliers that are high-performance instrumentation grade components designed to multiply microwave signals to millimeter wave ranges from 30 to 500 GHz.
The passive multipliers are based on commercially available MMIC and planar GaAs Schottky diode devices and are designed to cover the full waveguide band with best-in-class spectral purity. These modules use Farran’s proprietary multiplier technology to achieve high conversion efficiency and very high output power levels available in extremely wide bandwidths.
Farran’s passive multipliers deliver a cost-effective way to multiply microwave frequencies to the millimeter wave range. All devices are fixed-tuned and operate without bias. The modules are available in frequency multiplication factors of 2x, 3x and 5x.
