Narda Test Solutions has introduced the NRA RX Series - A new generation of RF spectrum analyzers that analyze signals up to 6 GHz in the frequency and time (zero span) domains with a resolution down to 30 nsec. With its low noise RF input module they provide receiver capabilities. The new antenna control interface makes it possible to use the NRA RX directly, via internal automatic conversions, for monitoring and safety measurements of electromagnetic fields when using Narda antennas.
Narda Test Solutions has introduced this second generation of NRA Spectrum Analyzers specifically to support RF Monitoring and RF signal collection: the new RF module exhibits superior phase noise and spurious perfomance, the new 10 MHz reference input supports precise synchronization. Spectra are available with up to 600,000 frequency measurements and Resolution Bandwidths up to 32 MHz enabling analysis of very wideband channels. Up to 500 channels can be defined for simultaneous monitoring. The demodulation capability of FM, AM, USB, LSB and CW signals makes it possible to listen to the signal over an external headphone. The uncompressed data are being transmitted in binary or ASCII format via the Ethernet interface and can be stored remotely enabling the user to post-process the recorded signals for in-depth signal analysis and classification.
The newly added antenna control interface makes it possible to use existing Narda antennas - directional antennas as well as the three-dimensional antennas from the Narda safety program. Antenna factors and calibration data are stored in the NRA or in the antenna directly for precise field measurements without the need for adjustments.
The NRA RX is available in two models: NRA-3000 RX (9 kHz to 3 GHz) and NRA-6000 RX (9 kHz – 6 GHz), both in a light-weight less than 5kg (11 lbs), fan-less, energy-efficient less than 20W 1 RU format for operation even in the tightest spaces or for mobile applications. The ASCII command interface makes it easy to integrate into proprietary and commercially available control and monitoring systems. The NRA RX measurement modes include Spectrum Analysis, Multi-Channel Power meter, Level meter, scope and I/Q data.
