Teledyne Storm Microwave Introduces Crush-Resistant VNA Test Cables up to 50 GHz

Teledyne Storm Microwave has introduced the Storm-Test™ series of VNA test cables operating at 26.5, 40 and 50 GHz. These are crush-resistant, rugged test & measurement cables that provide design engineers and lab test technicians with a low loss, phase stable and reliable test cable that delivers robust mechanical and electrical performance.

The Storm-Test™ cables have internally ruggedized cable construction that delivers longer life and excellent RF stability for high performance VNA Test leads. Test after test, each Storm-Test™ cable series delivers low loss, exceptional performance in applications requiring both durability and phase stability vs flexure. These rugged cables feature a custom cable bend protection behind the connector to optimize the product life of the cable assembly.

The cable assemblies have internal armouring to protect against crush and torque for mechanical robustness. They have a braided FEP jacket to offer resistance against natural abrasion and prevent fraying of outer jacket. The Storm-Test™ cables have a nominal diameter of 5.08 mm with a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm and rated for 50,000 flex cycles. These cables have an attenuation of 1.384 dB/ft and a VSWR of 1.35:1.

The Storm-Test™ series cables are available with 2.4 mm, 2.9 mm and 3.5 mm connectors and are suitable for use in test and measurement, radar, military and aerospace applications.
