Qorvo Expands its Market Leading MMIC Power Amplifier Portfolio for Radar Applications

Qorvo, a leading provider of innovative RF solutions that connect the world, has added two market-leading power amplifiers to their portfolio that offer superior power-added efficiency for radar systems.

Qorvo's new QPA2935 is a 2-Watt S-Band MMIC power amplifier and QPA0506 is a 4-Watt C-Band MMIC power amplifier (PA). Both are footprint compatible with predecessor devices, TGA2597-SM and TGA2599-SM, enabling a simple drop-in replacement option to instantly improve system performance in power and efficiency. The devices offer flexible bias points, enabling customers the ability to increase RF power as well.

Doug Cole, General Manager of Qorvo's Defense and Aerospace Business, said, "These new PAs expand the wide range of applications served by Qorvo's defense and aerospace portfolio. The QPA2935 and QPA0506 each offer best-in-market power-added efficiency for 2-4 W and 4-5 W amplifiers, providing a simple means to a 20-percentage point efficiency upgrade with drop-in pin-compatibility".
