Real-Time Spectrum Analyzers from 16 kHz to 14/26.5 GHz to Evaluate Wideband Systems

Real-Time Spectrum Analyzers from 16 kHz to 14/26.5 GHz to Evaluate Wideband Systems

Tektronix has developed the RSA7100B wideband spectrum analyzer for engineers working on the latest wideband designs in communications, radar and electronic warfare and for technicians who need to capture and analyze long-event sequences for wideband systems at the test range.

The RSA7100B signal analyzer operates from 16 kHz to 14/26.5 GHz with real-time spectrum analysis up to 800 MHz bandwidth and supports simultaneous streaming of seamless data at full bandwidth. This high-performance spectrum analysis is for advanced design verification with -134 dBc/Hz phase noise at 1 GHz, 10 kHz offset and typical amplitude accuracy of 0.5 dB at 10 GHz.

The spectrum analyzer is capable of simultaneously displaying frequency, time, and modulation domain displays, to help analyze and measure RF signals faster. The patented DPX® spectrum processing engine brings live analysis of transient events to spectrum analyzers. Transients of a minimum event duration of 0.232 μs in length are displayed in the frequency domain. This is orders of magnitude faster than swept analysis techniques. The large amount of data is color coded by rate of occurrence onto a bitmapped display, providing unparalleled insight into transient signal behavior. The DPX spectrum processor can be swept over the entire frequency range of the instrument, enabling broadband transient capture previously unavailable in any spectrum analyzer.

The RSA7100B is powered by SignalVu-PC Vector Analysis software – the same software used on the full-line of Tektronix Real-time Spectrum Analyzers – delivering unlimited access to advanced measurement and analysis capabilities that you can save, customize or share with peers. It delivers the tools to enhance your analysis capabilities with a full set of application-optimized software licenses, available on SignalVu-PC. Options may be added including pulse analysis, general purpose modulation analysis, settling time, automated phase noise measurements, streaming of IQ data, playback of recorded files, and more.

This spectrum analyzer enables users to analyze long recordings with DataVu-PC, which gives you the ability to mark events of interest for later examination and export waveforms to other formats. The RSA7100B comes with real-time recording and signal processing with IQFlowTM, ensuring you are getting the data you need from time-consuming test scenarios. Learn more by downloading the IQFlowTM flyer below. IQFlowTM streaming to various hardware interfaces, plus a software API, provide the speed and flexibility you need to perform real-time DSP algorithms.

The RSA7100B spectrum analyzer is available in an enclosure that measures 445.5 x 177.1 x 577.9 mm with BNC and SMA connectors. They are ideal for use in advanced radar/EW design evaluation, environment evaluation, monitoring, and recording, wideband communications design, spectrum management, electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) and military range testing and field operations.
