Copper Mountain Technology has introduced a 1-Port 14 GHz Vector Network Analyzer. The R140B is an enhanced version of its predecessor—the R140 reflectometer—featuring faster measurement speeds, wider IFBW, and an improved dynamic range.
The R140B is available in a module that has a design similar to CMT’s R60, which takes advantage of enhanced heat exchange characteristics and a sturdy USB shroud. It features a new connector assembly, which includes four different port connector options (N male/female and 3.5mm male/female). The new connector assembly enables flexible configuration while maintaining a small form factor suited for the laboratory or field applications.
This patented (US Patent 9,291,657) analyzer can be connected directly to the antenna or other DUT without the need for a test cable, eliminating measurement uncertainties inherent to cables. The R140B VNA can be controlled with a software application that runs on Windows or Linux operating systems on PCs, laptops, tablets, or x86 board computers connecting to the measurement hardware via the USB interface. The software can be installed on multiple computers that share the use of the analyzer measurement module.
The R140B is ideal for users who develop, test, and manufacture products in telecommunications (5G), semiconductor, radio navigation, aerospace, and defense industries. Relevant applications include material, cable, and antenna measurement. Click here for more information on the R140B VNA.
