Anteral Introduces Lens Horn Antennas from 8 to 170 GHz for High-Gain Applications

Anteral has introduced Lens Horn Antennas (LHA) that operate from 8 to 170 GHz in 11 bands with a nominal mid-band gain of 30 dB. These antennas are conical horn antennas with a plano-convex Teflon (PTFE) lens added in the aperture, in order to apply phase correction and achieve superior performance with minimum size.

Anteral optimizes all designs to have a high gain as well as a low VSWR (1.3:1) and side lobes. Lens Horn Antennas are very beneficial when high gain with minimal size is required. As a result, these antennas are commonly employed in radar applications, communication lines, and meteorological systems, among other uses. The very well-defined radiated plane wave makes these antennas also very suitable for material characterization.

Anteral also produces Focusing Lens Horn Antennas (LHA-F) with double-convex lenses, which produce exceptionally well-defined focusing beams with small focal distances, making them ideal for testing and material characterization.

Custom bands and gain settings can also be specified. The performance of all devices is checked before delivery. Extended performance datasheets are available on customer request.
