Linx Technologies Introduces Two New Stamped Metal Antennas for IoT and Smart Home Applications

Linx Technologies (Linx), now part of TE Connectivity, has introduced two stamped metal antennas exhibiting high performance in a compact size. The new antennas - ANT-2.4-MSA-TH1 and ANT-W63-MSA-TH1 - are especially well-suited for Internet of Things (IoT) devices, smart home networking, sensing and remote monitoring, and hand-held devices.

Key Features of ANT-2.4-MSA-TH1

  • Performance at 2.4 GHz to 2.5 GHz
    • VSWR: ≤ 1.3
    • Peak Gain: 3.7 dBi
    • Efficiency: 87%
  • Compact, low-profile
    • 16.7 mm x 5.8 mm x 5.4 mm
  • Omnidirectional radiation pattern
  • Reflow- or hand-solder assembly

Key Features of ANT-W63-MSA-TH1

  • Performance at 5.150 GHz to 5.895 GHz
    • VSWR: ≤ 1.9
    • Peak Gain: 3.8 dBi
    • Efficiency: 61%
  • Performance at 5.950 GHz to 7.125 GHz
    • VSWR: ≤ 3.2
    • Peak Gain: 3.8 dBi
    • Efficiency: 55%
  • Compact, low-profile
    • 15.0 mm x 17.2 mm x 9.8 mm
  • Omnidirectional radiation pattern
  • Reflow- or hand-solder assembly

The ANT-2.4-MSA-TH1 is designed for 2.4 GHz ISM applications including Bluetooth and Zigbee, as well as single-band Wi-Fi. The ANT-W63-MSA-TH1 is designed for Wi-Fi 6/Wi-Fi 6E applications in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands. The antennas are packaged in trays and designed for through-hole mounting directly to a printed circuit board.
