Knowles Showcases its Innovative RF Filters, Capacitors, and Design Services at IMS 2023

Knowles Precision Devices, a premier global source for microwave and RF components, including RF filters, splitters and couplers; multilayer, high reliability, single layer and precision variable capacitors; and EMI filters, is showcasing its product portfolio at the IEEE MTT International Microwave Symposium (IMS) being held in San Diego, CA this week.

As a specialty components manufacturer, Knowles Precision Devices takes on the complex challenges that come with high reliability, high temperature, high performance and high frequency solutions.

Products Showcased at the IMS 2023

RF/Microwave Filter Products: They offer a complete range of RF and Microwave filtering solutions that support applications from VHF to Ka-Band, including custom-designed and build-to-print solutions to meet the needs of aerospace and defense customers. Featured products from the portfolio include:

  1. 2-18 GHz Bandpass Filter
  2. Quadrature Hybrid Coupler
  3. X-Band and S-Band Filters
  4. High-Q S & C-band Filters

Single Layer Capacitors (SLCs): Designed for demanding applications using proprietary materials in a wide array of different configurations. Featured products from the portfolio will be:

  1. V-Series: High Frequency, wire bondable single layer capacitors are perfect for GaN and GaAs amplifier applications where small size and microwave performance are key to a well-performing circuit.
  2. Milli-Cap® and Opti-Cap® broadband blocking capacitors: Designed to deliver reliable, ultra-low loss operation across a variety of applications including test equipment, fiber optic modules and broadband microwave/millimeter systems. Explore options that offer low frequency stability over extreme temperatures, space-saving footprints and more.

Build-to-Print services to support thin film product design, manufacturing and testing from prototype to high volume production. Our engineering experts help achieve the highest performance design possible through enhanced process controls and tighter line tolerances combined with material selection including standard and custom ceramic substrates and pure metals.

Knowles will also be Presenting a MicroApps Seminar:

High-Frequency RF Crossover Device | June 14, 14:30 - 14:45

Join Pierre Nadeau, Director of RF Engineering, will be delivering a presentation on the topic “High Frequency RF Crossover Device” in the MicroApps Theater. The presentation will discuss current market limitations for available crossover components (only operating up to ~6 GHz) and offer insights into a new style of surface mount RF crossover component that can operate from DC to 40 GHz.
