Otava, a company focusing on the design and manufacturing of wideband microwave and millimeter-wave ICs and SoCs for 5G, satellite communications, and defense applications, will have a significant presence at the upcoming International Microwave Symposium from June 13 to 15 in San Diego. The company will participate in multiple demonstrations of its technologies at its booth (2514) and those of Otava’s partners and will participate in workshops dedicated to millimeter-wave applications.
The annual IEEE International Microwave Symposium, organized and sponsored by the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S), is the largest gathering of RF and microwave professionals in the world.
Demonstrations at IMS 2023 will Include
Demo1: Tunable Filter
Location: Otava Inc Booth 2514
Otava’s digitally tunable 24 to 40 GHz bandpass filter is a single-chip replacement for discrete filter banks and cavity-tuned filters. Its footprint is 10 times smaller, a fraction of the size, much lighter, and draws minimal current.
Demo1: Wideband Millimeter-wave Radio Development Kit for AMD RFSoC Gen 3
Location: MathWorks Booth 2541
Designed in collaboration with Avnet, the development kit combines the Otava DTRX2 20-to-30 GHz dual transceiver radio card with the AMD Xilinx Zynq® UltraScale+™RFSoC to let designers explore the entire signal chain from RF to IF sampling.
Demo1: Phased Array Module
Location: Samtec Booth 2627
Otava’s 64-element 24 to 30 GHz active phased array antenna module includes beamformers, 64 vertical and 64 horizontal antenna elements and measures just 6.5 x 13.5 in x 4.5 in.
