The Anritsu Field Master Pro MS2090A handheld spectrum analyzer is being used by Z-COMM, a leader in voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) and phase-locked loop (PLL) technology, to validate the performance of its Smart PLL Frequency Synthesizer. Z-COMM selected the MS2090A due to its combination of compact size and high performance.
Anritsu, in booth #547 at IEEE's International Microwave Symposium (IMS) 2023 in San Diego, California, from June 13–15, 2023, is showcasing a live demonstration of its Field Master Pro MS2090A handheld spectrum analyzer. Additionally, at booth #757, Z-COMM is showcasing its Smart PLL Frequency Synthesizer and demonstrating how they utilize Anritsu's Field Master Pro MS2090A handheld spectrum analyzer to validate its performance.
“It is crucial for us to show that our smart PLL is a very clean source and how quickly the synthesizer will lock at different frequencies. Using a best-in-class spectrum analyzer that is well-respected throughout the industry is critical for us to validate the performance of our Smart PLL frequency synthesizers. It will show the true potential of the device under test,” said Mike Inverso, director of sales at Z-COMM.
Z-COMM selected the MS2090A for Anritsu for more than the spectrum analyzer’s performance. The portability of the handheld solution, as well as its battery operation, ease-of-use, and large 10.1”, 1280x800 color touchscreen, also are beneficial. The features will make the Smart PLL's performance clear to visitors to the Z-COMM IMS booth.
The Smart PLL Frequency Synthesizer, which covers 45 MHz through 22.6 GHz, provides high performance in a compact, all-metal package. Fully programmable through a Bluetooth interface or USB cable, users may adjust functions such as frequency, sweep mode, dwell time, step size, and power output.
Engineers will see that the Smart PLL Frequency Synthesizer is a cost-effective, clean, and simple frequency source. It can be used as an LO on a test bench for the development of products in radar and satellite designs, as well as in any application in which a simple source is needed.
